Michael Burgoyne

Michael has over 40 years experience in civil engineering design, project management and construction engineering for public works infrastructure, downtown redevelopment and commercial and residential development projects. Michael has a wide range of design and project management experience for both public and private clients.

Mr. Burgoyne has an extensive background in construction administration, inspection and engineering materials design and testing. Michael has performed inspections for earthwork and soils, asphalt and Portland cement concrete paving, and pipeline construction. Michael was the resident engineer for several successful large scale, multi million dollar, public works infrastructure projects including bridges, utilities, and roadway construction.

Mike began his career, during college, in materials engineering performing field and laboratory testing of soils, asphalt and Portland cement concrete. Ultimately, Mike's engineering materials experience included management of a materials engineering laboratory; design and testing of asphalt and Portland cement concrete paving mixes, and structural and forensic materials investigations and testing.

Michael graduated from Northern Arizona University, cum laude, in 1982. Michael was awarded the State of Arizona, Senior Engineer of the year award by ASCE for his academic achievements and participation.

Mr. Burgoyne is registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in the States of Arizona, Nevada and Texas.

Michael specializes in contract documents and technical specifications and is a certified "Contract Documents Technologist" by CSI. Mr. Burgoyne also believes strongly in the use of computer design software for efficient and cost effective design, plan and contract document preparation. Mike is proficient in the use of Autodesk, Civil 3D, Watercad, Autoturn and HEC2.
